Stayed here during bohemia mining days in cottage grove. Great campsites with lots of room, flat ground for tents and ample shade. Water fountains and faucets near all the sites. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked (bring your own soap!). This is an alcohol free camp which made for a quiet kid friendly environment.

All the complaints about this location are alcohol related, but the reservations page clearly states that it is a Corp of Engineer facility and Alcohol is Prohibited and you actually have to check the box that you have read and agree to the rules. It is a back in lake front and perfect for getting out personal pontoon boats to the water.

We stayed from Friday to Monday. Sunday night the campground was almost empty. A group of local kids showed up. They rented the spot right across from up. They started out with 2 tents and 2 cars and as soon as the ranger made the last sweep, more cars and more kids. It’s Midnight. No one enforcing quiet time and they are loud and cussing constantly. Quiet, clean and well maintained. No smoking and no alcohol. Very restful and on a beautiful lake. Dogs welcome and all of the owners kept them on leash.

We love this campground. The hosts were very nice. The rangers are incredible! They kept a strong presence throughout the campground. Pine Meadows has changed a great deal in some aspects. Pine Meadows has changed a great deal in some aspects. It used to be a loud, obnoxious party on the weekends. Now that they have gone reservation only, no alcohol, and limiting visitors, it has returned to a good family campground. Campers were having fun, while respectful of hours and neighbors. It was the quietest we had ever experienced there! There was just one camper in site 75 on Labor Day weekend, that had two dogs they would put outside, starting at 7 am.Made for a good alarm clock so you wouldn't oversleep. One of the dogs barked at everyone and everything. I felt particularly bad for the people in tents right across from them. We will most definitely return. We highly recommend.
