I love central Oregon, and I love the campsite. It has very open campsites that are far apart enough for privacy but close enough to be comfortable (if you’re like me and don’t like to be too “out there”) but the bathrooms were horrendous. I don’t know if this is the usual but there were THOUSANDS of flies buzzing everywhere and coming in through who knows where. I’ve been camping all my life and... I don’t know if this is the usual but there were THOUSANDS of flies buzzing everywhere and coming in through who knows where. I’ve been camping all my life and am no stranger to flies in the vault toilet, but this was he worst I’ve ever seen. I had to drive all the way to a store and buy this special fly killer to clean out the bathroom. It took me hours to clear them all out (only for them to come back within a day). The site is beautiful but the bathrooms are just awful to the point where I’d just dig a hole. If it weren’t for the awful restrooms I’d give this an easy 5 stars

Got to see some river otters. Very cool! Very nice overnight stay. Wish there was potable water on site but ya just can't have everything. Did I mention the otters?

Very beautiful area. Good for camping. Fly fishing, and also day use parking. Loved where it is setting. Really scenic and picturesque.
