Just got home Wednesday afternoon from a 4-day/3-night encampment with a few of our family & friends. We had the opportunity to rent the entire camping section. All the spaces are very nice and spacious, we managed several 5th wheelers and a couple tents. The spaces are all very level. There's a huge picnic table at each one, as well as big fire pits. We had the opportunity to rent the entire camping section. All the spaces are very nice and spacious, we managed several 5th wheelers and a couple tents. The spaces are all very level. There's a huge picnic table at each one, as well as big fire pits. Paths are clearly marked and most are paved. You can bring wood or purchase it there in standard bundles for $5 each. The restrooms are well kept with twice daily check-ins by the on-site caretakers/owners. We were able to close the gate to avoid confusion with other day time folks hitting the river, and secure us a bit at night. That was one of my favorite aspects, the privacy. It's not too far into town either. But just far enough! It's slightly tricky accessing the river. But there IS clear signage. And the view!! Bring your water safety gear, water level varies throughout the season, and there is fish to be had! Love mountain rivers! We saw several critters and heard lots of bird calls. There had been a cougar sighting a couple days previous to our arrival, we saw no signs of one. However, we did see a trio of large vultures gliding very low during lunch time each day. It's also hot there this week & fire season, so it may not be their normal area. The tall trees and seemingly constant breeze was welcome! There also several water spickets thoughout the camping area. There's a modern pavilion, horseshoe pits at the far end of the camping area. And are at least two sets of restrooms (not plumbed, more modern outhouse style) in the camping section. The drive in from I-5 is pleasant. The site sits squeezed between Highway 138 and the bank of the Umpqua River. It's perfect! And we got lucky, the water wasn't too cool! Well for sure try to rent it again sometime!

We really had a great time! The ONLY thing was how loud the trucks are in the morning. This place has a lot to offer. We loved the horse shoes and a walk to the Umpqua River so the dog(Boodgie) could rest her feet, in the water. And later by the fire, I was roasting marshmallows resting OUR feet. Lol. Next to our famy all around us. It was very nice to be there with all of them!

Great smaller campground, reserved spots 13 & 14 at the end. Nice quiet cul-de-sac where the kids played and rode bikes. It's not on the waters edge like it appears on the map but the walk to the river isnt bad. There are no sandy shore lines at the campground and there is a lot of algea growth but not bad for fishing or rafting.

We had a group of 40 women spend 5 days in Eagleview Group Campground last week and it was great! Both the grounds and bathrooms were clean when we got there. The bathrooms were always stocked with plenty of toilet paper and the waste baskets were emptied a couple of times a day. Dennis, the camp host, did a great job. I recommend this place for groups looking for both tent and small RVs.

This campground is lovely! Well managed, clean, nice pavilion area with running water, the campsites were spacious, bathrooms smelled decent and had plenty of toilet paper, a few nice trails to explore and the river is pretty easily accessible for swimming, floating, kayaking, etc. I would definitely stay here again!
