Roads were pretty rough coming in a lifted GMC to truck. The mosquitos were absolutely the worst I've ever seen just last weekend. Definitely glad I brought mosquito nets, our friends didn't survive the weekend. Otherwise a beautiful place to visit.

Smokey and dry and dusty. Weather was nice and was not to hot. There was a slight breeze the 3 days I was up there hunting. Smoke from all the fires was a bit thick the first evening but cleared some. Forest circus posted PCT closure Friday morning due to fires in the rest of Oregon. Really? No fires within 100 miles and closing the entire trail? Oh well, had the place pretty much to myself.
