Nice place to camp besides the river if you’re on a short trip or have an RV, they have picnic tables and fire places. There’s a lot of small spikes on the ground so be mindful to always wear shoes. Bathrooms are definitely not clean so I would use them just for a real eme... Absolutely riddled with goathead burs. Picked up a shoe full everything I walked anywhere. The poor dogs were traumatized. Otherwise quite nice. Conveniently close to town, great tables, decent bathroom.

Great spot, close to town so you still get cell service and usually not too busy since most folks prefer to camp a bit further away from Maupin.
