This campground is nice for large or small groups. There are several corral options and about 13 sites to choose from. Recently a 1,000 gallon stock water tank was added to site because the previously piped water no longer works. The tank is refilled by volunteers, so I'd recommend bringing your own stock water just in case. The road in from Hwy 20 is short, but the washboard is bad, about 10m... The road in from Hwy 20 is short, but the washboard is bad, about 10mph seemed like the sweet spot to keep your teeth from rattling out. Lots of miles of easy trails and dirt roads, great from green horses. It's really dry and dusty, so walking around creates a bit of a dust cloud, but the open scenery and mountain views are worth it. Really beautiful trails and area. There are some houses close to the campground, which feels odd, but you really don't notice them. Great place!

Large camping sites, kind folks. No water - and no thoughts on where/how to get water from the park rangers or city (we called). Was rather annoying since the horses needed about 15 gallons a day each (we had 5 horses) and we needed to grab water in town multiple times at a city park. Fee is the same, even with no water. Spots are DUSTY so prepare well.

The OET put a huge water tank for stock in at the campground. Wonderful addition. The 3 miles in on the FS road is really washboard and dusty but the trails here are fabulous.

THEY FINALLY GOT WATER! Nice campground, it's changed a bit since I was last here. My favorite large campsite got cut in half so now its just off to the side with no stalls and very far from the corrals, so Loop 1 site 3 is a no go for me any more. Sites 4 and 5 have 4 horse stalls and are close to the corrals, bathroom, and water.

Very clean camp, no host when we were there. Nice corrals and camp areas. Clean restrooms. You might try to talk the USFS into grading their mainline road, I know that is hard to do. Will you have any water in the future?
