My pup and I had such an incredible time at Kinnikinnick Camp Ground right on Laurance Lake! Upon pulling up, we were greeted by Cindy the camp host who was very welcoming, enjoyable to speak to, and let us know not only which sites were available, but more specifically which ones had a view/we may want to consider given the upcoming weather! You can tell Cindy takes pride in her role, cares for the land and the people that use it. While I've read some of the negative reviews - I can't say enough good things about our experience which I would think anyone following the rules/guidelines would too also experience. Site 22 was were we stayed and it offered beautiful views of the lake and felt secluded! All sites are walk-in so be prepared to carry your items to your site.

Absolutely wonderful spot. I was worried about the road getting to the lake/campground. There is one dip in the road that would prevent a trailer from making it. I had a wagon that helped, but the trails have tree roots and rocks that make it a little difficult. Absolutely beautiful lake with view of Mt Hood. Camp site 20 is where I stayed, is quite large, fits at least 3 tents but it’s a walk to and from the car.

Beautiful camp ground, can be pretty busy in the summer time, make sure to place reservations online or arrive early in the day.

My family really enjoys Laurence Lake and Kinnikinnick campground. We’ve been twice already and will be back for sure. The camp host is great! She’s a great person and very down to earth, we really enjoy visiting with her. As far as the lake goes, fishing is great but you have to go out on the water early. Both times we’ve been to Laurence Lake the wind gets insane towards the end of the day.... My family really enjoys Laurence Lake and Kinnikinnick campground. Camping sites are awesome, very clean and fair in size. There’s a couple of out houses that are very clean as well. No potable water on site, so make sure to bring your own. Be careful on the way to the campground, a 4x4 is recommended to cross the creek, which can also flood over at certain times of the year. Great hikes in the area and kayaking, no motorized boats.

Campsite 001 07/10/22 The camp host David and Park Ranger Steve were friendly and helpful. Site 001 was beautiful and had easy access to the lake that was just stunning! What was unbeknownst to us and were not included in other reviews, is that there is a path very near our campsite that led to a small beach next to our campsite and MOST of the day users parked by our campsite and accessed the path to the beach. They were loud and obnoxious till 8:30pm when they left. It really is a beautiful campsite but having day users walk back and forth so close to our campsite makes me think twice of choosing campsite 001 and will choose another site away from day users. The dirt road to the campground was treacherous at some places. Check campground for alerts before arrival. The lake again was beautiful and the campground a rare gem.
