This campground was spectacular. I love that oregon has many places that are great for watching the night skies since there is minimal light pollution. This is one of the best places in this entire state I've been to enjoy overnight. This campground was spectacular. I love that oregon has many places that are great for watching the night skies since there is minimal light pollution. This is one of the best places in this entire state I've been to enjoy overnight. It was so dark that I could see the milky way in the sky and the clearing on the camp spots were perfect for laying back and taking in the night sky. I saw shooting stars and varies joys of a solid space nerd out. The silence was intoxicating in the best way. I had arrived after a crazy long work day / week, and was able to just sit and vibe next to a peaceful fire and enjoy the night with my youngest son. This is the simple kind of campground where memories are made. The next morning I woke up and realized the lake was just a very short walk across the campground and it was clean and serene. I didn't catch any fish but the rest of our group when down there after me and caught several large rainbow trout. I will most certainly return again and stay for more than just a night. This was a real treat and definitely better than I hoped for. The simplicity of the space is a part of its charm and it is very well maintained and the camp spots are level and peaceful.

This lake water is clear and clean. Great for kayaks and paddle boarding. Campsite are only $13 night. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Outhouse style toilets. Lots of 200 year old log/trees in the water. Fishing is good for Medium Size rainbows. Campsites are close to each other.

Good little campground. Sites are fairly close together. Popular family spot with lots of kids running around peak season. They do have a bit of a problem with chipmunks nesting in vehicles. Pop your hood and leave it open for the duration of your stay. Otherwise, you might be taking home a chipmunk, or worse, have your vehicles wiring chewed up. The lake is gorgeous.
