Camped here the end of August 2022. I was on a cross country trip in my converted van, think there are 7 or 8 spots there, found a nice spot with plenty of room for the van, and seemingly far enough away from the other 4 sites that were occupied. I can say this, it seemed as if everyone in those 4 sites had been living there for quite some time. Everyone waved and seemed friendly, bathroom was clean and everyone was quiet at night. Also small creek back there (North Fork Siuslaw River) was plentiful of wild rainbow trout, caught 3 in under 10 minutes on my 4 wt. Definitely a great spot for one to two nights!

The campground is pretty nice. Camp spots could be closer to the river. Lots of late visitors to couple spots. There's still an abandoned motor home occupying one of the best spots. IT'S FREE, and has a vault and campfire tubs.

Must honestly say that this is one of the true gems of the Pacific Northwest. This campground is in the category of dispersed camping. And it's a great spot for creekside activities. Very Serene, spiritual place. This is a Oregon forest service site with a vault toilet, 7 Tent site's approximately 14 miles from Florence Oregon. 14 day stay limit for free, Pack it in, pack it out rules apply. Enjo... This is an alright campground, but you get what you pay for. It's nice that it's free, but this means that people can claim a campsite and not leave. There is no trash service, so some people have thrown their trash into the bushes. It is a beautiful area and the river is nice and calm around the campground.
