Great campground! The plots are large where you can spread out and are not on top of the group beside you. It is a smaller campground and I loved it. It wasn't crowded at all. The restrooms are a vault toilet but they're checked twice a day and were very clean! Each loop has a restroom. There is also a water station that can be used for drinking, dishes, bathing, and more by the fishing station up... Great campground! There is also a water station that can be used for drinking, dishes, bathing, and more by the fishing station up front. Easy access to the lake from plots 1-6 or there is always the boat ramp at the beginning. The host sells firewood (limited supply daily) for $10 a bundle and filtered water for $2 a gallon at the host station. I definitely loved my stay here and will return back!

Camp host was super gracious an brought us firewood after a huge rainstorm. every campsite is just a short walk to the lake. or if you like to to keep your steps up for the day, you can walk around all the camp ground loops- not work about tripping hazards or fast flowing traffic. sites were clean an clear or trash an debris. love the in ground fire pits with grate over them. one loop has new updated fire rings. plenty of places to hang a hammock, and the sites are pretty big. even the the multi use site. lots of boating. not far from other campgrounds or trail heads. lava lakes resort is a fun place to visit an rent a boat for the day- it's like a ten minute drive North of Rock Creek campground. beautiful land scapes around the camp ground on the main highway if you're into that sort of thing, perfect viewing spots for pictures or adventures to an from the campground. it's well marked, there is dispersed camping, away from camp ground, but due to fire level- can't have a fire in dispersed camping. Forest service uses drones to check expansive forest areas for fires. only place to have a fire right now is in a campground in the approved fire ring. i recommend this campground. the first bathroom near camp host site is cared for by Forest service, there is fresh potable water from a hand pump, so awesome to use, like being back in the old West... fish cleaning station. place to park boat trailer an truck. an no body bothers your stuff. host site over looks parking an loop one entrance, bathroom an info station. someone put up fourth of July flags. that was awesome to see since!!!

Nice campground spots. Water pumps in several locations to fill with. Each loop has a vault toilet, dumpster and sink water drain. Dogs allowed on leashes. Beautiful dock on the lake and short hike trials. Camp host Amy was wonderful!

Beautiful spot with a low-key but good quality boat ramp for small vessels.
