This was the perfect quick overnight stop for a group hike into Ape Cave the next day. The room was clean, modern, with nice finishes like granite countertop and tile floor in the bathroom. Comfortable bed, nice furnishings, up to date. Microwave and minifridge. It was everything I needed. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I needed a corkscrew and the gift shop had one. I enjoyed zinfandel... This was the perfect quick overnight stop for a group hike into Ape Cave the next day. I enjoyed zinfandel in a souvenir glass from the gift shop while relaxing on the porch in a cape cod chair. It was all just perfect.

We LOVE Lone Fir restaurant and gift shop! The food is always delicious and the servers are always friendly and helpful. This place gets packed in the summer for good reason, so there may be a wait. They do offer outside seating. The owner has chatted with us a few times, filing in and helping out on busy days. Good people, good food, good drinks.

Locally operated resort placing you within a few miles of the most wonderful trails and sites that Mt St Helens has to offer. The rooms/cabins are simple affairs. They have a bed with a couple of side tables with charging stations USB and PowerPoint. Bathroom is clean and the shower was nice. There was also a small kitchenette with a micro, coffee pot, and fridge. The resort has a little cafe... There was also a small kitchenette with a micro, coffee pot, and fridge. The resort has a little cafe with excellent home cooked quality meals, outstanding service, and a decent menu. There is a small shop there for your last minute camp/hiking needs as well as a plethora of tourist regalia mugs, tshirts, etc. The resort has a pool and even a mining area for kids. This was a great find - would definitely stay here again. It was just so awesome to have a hot shower and a nice bed after a big hike day.

I only stayed 1 night here. The resort had a great location if you are climbing Mt. St. Helens or visiting the Ape caves and other hikes in the area. The staff is friendly. The restaurant food and service were good. The room I stayed, 4D. Was a nice decent size room. The only complaint I have is that they didn't have a bath mat or any hand bars to hold to get into the bathtub. The bathtub is kind... I only stayed 1 night here. I almost slip. Providing one in the bathroom would go along way. None the less. Would recommend this place to others and will stay here again

My third stay. This place is exceptionally good! Very cool, Timberline Lodge-style furniture in each carefully arranged, immaculately tended room. All the plumbing and utilities are modern, completely updated. The restaurant offers a conventional menu, but the dishes are very well prepared. Service is great all around.
