About Tillamook RV Park

Campground in Oregon.

Tillamook RV Park offers a convenient home base for exploring one of Oregon's most charming coastal regions. Located in Tillamook, this park welcomes travelers seeking to experience the natural beauty and unique attractions of the northern Oregon coast without sacrificing comfort and accessibility.

The Tillamook area is famous worldwide for its iconic cheese factory, where visitors can watch the cheese-making process through observation windows and sample award-winning cheddar varieties in the on-site store. Beyond the dairy destination, the region presents endless opportunities for outdoor recreation and coastal exploration. Tillamook Head offers dramatic coastal views and hiking trails that reward visitors with stunning vistas of the Pacific Ocean, perfect for those who want to stretch their legs and breathe in the salt air. The nearby beaches provide excellent spots for beachcombing, photography, and simply enjoying the rugged beauty of the Oregon shoreline.

The town of Tillamook itself maintains a small-town charm that many travelers find refreshing. Local shops, restaurants, and cafes reflect the community's heritage and character, offering authentic experiences away from tourist crowds. The area's proximity to Cape Lookout State Park makes it ideal for those interested in marine wildlife viewing, tidepooling, and exploring sea caves during low tide.

This location works particularly well for travelers interested in Oregon's coast who want a central location to explore multiple attractions. Families enjoy the accessible nature of local activities, while outdoor enthusiasts appreciate the numerous trails and natural areas within a short drive. Whether you're timing a visit around storm watching season in winter or enjoying the more temperate months of summer and fall, Tillamook provides easy access to both wild coastal landscapes and beloved regional attractions.

The park's positioning makes it a logical stop for travelers journeying along the Oregon coast or using the area as a base for extended exploration of the northern coastal region.

I only give this place two stars because the owner allowed us to pay our lot rent in increments as long as we were upfront about the dates. Other than that, this is your warning. The residents there are not the most friendly. In fact, there is a couple, a man on lot 40 (I believe) and one man with a cane that seems to run the show. Our dogs had jerked out of our hands a couple of times and the guy... Our dogs had jerked out of our hands a couple of times and the guy with the cane claimed our dog bit his dog. However, the police were not called, my husband says he did not see it as he was the one walking him, and this man proceeded to call me every name in the book like we were in high school. The owner told us to get better control of our dogs - which we agreed to - and called it “high tempers” when I asked her to let the other residents know that they should not be ganging up on, verbally attacking, nor threatening other residents. Basically, they rule the roost. The lot stank so bad, to the point of giving me headaches. It is definitely NOT big enough for anything over 40’ and most of the trailers have been there for years, to the point of falling apart. We had the worst time getting out of there; could not get out fast enough. The dog area was used to store the goats and we were provided a letter to take our dogs to the park where children should be able to play or kick the ball around without worrying about feces. Your mail is available to anyone as they use open boxes. It looks like they are adding on more spaces but neglecting what is already there. The man who tends to the shrubbery and lawns cannot keep up. In the end, I did not feel safe and I had lived in some really questionable places growing up. I do not recommend staying there - go to Mystic River in the mountains if you can, or anywhere else. We got plenty of knowing looks when we would tell someone where we were staying. This park does not have a good reputation for good reason. We decided to come back home to Texas about 1.5 years early (so thank you to the residents for the push) and have never been better. In fact, all of our dogs have been around many other dogs and not once attacked them. The residents where we are now are friendly, there is a dog walk, and we have our own area that is clearly marked with plenty of space. I will post pictures of the current state as if this month but it does not give the full effect of the state of Tillamook RV. I should have known when we pulled in and my first thought was, “I think we made a mistake.”

Very nice park. Nice dog run, the spaces are wide and clean with a mat. They also have a covered patio, nicely furnished with a grill, and the play structure is very nice. Everything is clean and neat. Very well maintained. I saw a review mentioning the odor of the petting zoo, but it is actually just the signature Tillamook aroma. We will definitely come back.

Park was great. Good location close to the highway and central to a few attractions. The kids loved the playground and the animals that are kid friendly (petting zoo). We even got a complimentary bundle of wood to enjoy a campfire. The second night of our stay (Friday) they had a group campfire and smores hosted by the park owners. Really had a great time.

Awful experience, I was staying with family temporarily and the landlord is a psycho control freak who will scream profanity at kids over small things. The park itself is poorly taken care of. Even tho I was staying as a guest I would strongly recommend staying as far away from here as possible.
