I stayed in this RV park in July of 2024. I had the whole campground to myself. All the sites are pull-through with full hookups. Many of the sites have 50amp service, and they all had 30amp. The price to was very low. There are expansive views of the Oregon high desert in all directions. Highway noise at night was minimal as there isn't much traffic, especially late at night.

I can't speak for this place, but I can for the people whom I encounter, that helped me when I rolled my truck near Wagontire, in mid September in 2019, a little past 6:am. There was little to no traffic at that hour but just by chance an elderly lady driving to CA spotted what happened to me and came to my aid. There wasn't a cell signal to be had out there, so she drove off to call 911 for me. A... There was little to no traffic at that hour but just by chance an elderly lady driving to CA spotted what happened to me and came to my aid. There wasn't a cell signal to be had out there, so she drove off to call 911 for me. As I waited, about 6:30am a married couple of off duty EMTs who lived nearby, happened to be driving past and saw the broken fencing and my wrecked truck. They stopped, and ran up to check on me to see if I was okay. I was wearing my seatbelt and despite the look of my truck, I was only banged up a bit and had some cuts and nasty contusions to my left hand from the truck, brush and hard scrabble. Miraculously, I hadn't broken it, either. I was lucky to still have my hand as in rollovers, people have amputated their arms or hands, from their upper limb going out the window and being crushed by the vehicle. They stay until the ambulance came. I asked them to hang onto some valuables of mine until I was discharged from the hospital. I was transported to Burns then Bend as it appeared I had a back injury that concerned them. I was hospitalized for four days as they figured out how to go about treating the back injury. It was found that surgical wouldn't be needed. Anyway, everyone I met in this area of Oregon were truly salt of the earth types who were all too willing to help a traveler in peril. From the elderly lady who happened upon me right when it happened, to the off duty EMT couple that checked on me and looked after my things, to the first responders, to the hospital personnel to even the Sheriff who asked "What exactly happened out there?" were nothing but kind and genuinely caring to make sure I was handled with the utmost care. It was a random pile of gravel in the road, high winds, and recent rains that contributed to the rollover. I wasn't charged as it truly was an act of God the accident happened. PSA; BUCKLE UP! The life you save very much could be your own. I've survived two bad MVA, seatbelts are why I survived.

In 2002 I stayed overnight during my bicycling trip from Atlanta (GA) to Klamath Falls (OR). The owner was (nickname) “one-eyed Jerry”. He treated me like a king. The spot was on sale that year. If the nowadays owners know him, please say hi to him. Next day I proceeded my 3500 Mi solo trip. For a Dutchman quite a challenging journey.

I've not stayed at the TV park but wanted to share my story, hope this is allowed. Most of my life my family traveled thru wagontire to get to family in California. Whether we stopped or not I always loved this little place, I would always watch for the sign that said WAGONTIRE POPULATION 2. I always thought how cool it would be to live out there. So glad to hear it's up and running again.
