The bathrooms are clean, the showers are very private, nice and upgraded but make sure you are versed on taking a “prison shower” because you have to turn the water back on every 7–10 seconds. If you have dogs, head to the fish trail at the dam entrance. When you get to the bottom there is a great area for your pups to enjoy the water. Make sure you are stocked up before you get there because you will have to drive a bit if you need groceries or gas. All in all, it is very quiet and peaceful with or without a boat or water toy. Note: to anyone frequenting the dam area. Please clean up after yourselves! The amount of beer cans, fishing line and garbage that we pick up that others have left is sad. Keep it clean to keep it beautiful!

We had an amazing time, and I can confidently say that Bush Recreation Site is perfect for first-time campers. The camp manager, Darlene, made a very positive impression on us. She was incredibly easy to talk to, kind, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When we mentioned the possibility of rain the next day, Darlene even offered to help us switch sites if weather became an issue. Her attentiveness and willingness to help was memorable. I loved our camping adventure and we plan to again very soon. We highly recommend this campsite for anyone looking to enjoy a hassle-free and enjoyable camping trip. My husband says “I concur” 😃 (newlyweds!)

Pretty good camping, right next to boater access in the parking lot plus other public can access the shoreline behind multiple campsites, Nice lake otherwise, bass, harder to catch, bluegill too easy to catch. Caught a clam also!

Friendly campground. From Campground host to campers. Constant rain curtailed many activities. Soggy muddy grounds. But hard-core campers and boaters didn't let that slow them down. A bit ruff on the pets, though. Ha ha!
