A Perfect place to hike. A place to learn geography, a place to have Solitude. Small parking lot on Red Pump Road. Bring water , food, hiking shoes with good support. Apparently you can camp in small tent overnight but with permit. Alot of trials but some are not marked as well. So stay on main trails best you can.

Great place to hike. I will recommend real boots, not the flip flops I saw on a couple hiking who later broke them, on both feet each!. Why would you hike in flip flops? This isn't the beach. Seriously wear boots, waterproof if able, just cause the waterproof ones don't absorb the mud, so you can spray them off. After a rain there is a ton of mud there

William Penn State Forest is a great place to go for a dayhike. The terrain can be a little hilly. Off the trail there tends to be a lot of underbrush and thorn bushes, so it is best to stay on the trail. However, the scenery is well worth the hike.

ATTENTION all newcomers. If you use Google Maps or Waze to plan your trip to William Penn State Forest, you will arrive at someone's private property with "No Tresspassing" signs posted. It looks like the property owner is tired of having random people arrive at their land with hopes of hiking/biking/camping/etc.
