About Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA Holiday

Campground in Pennsylvania.

Nestled in the heart of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the Elizabethtown/Hershey KOA Holiday offers the perfect base camp for exploring one of America's most charming regions. Located between two iconic destinations—the sweetness of Hershey and the pastoral serenity of Amish Country—this KOA provides convenient access to some of Pennsylvania's most beloved attractions while maintaining that welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere KOA is known for.

The Lancaster County area is a tapestry of American heritage and natural beauty. Rolling farmland dotted with traditional barns, covered bridges spanning gentle streams, and quiet country roads create a landscape that feels frozen in time yet vibrant with modern hospitality. Whether you're interested in the quirky attractions of Hershey or the genuine cultural experiences found in Amish communities, you'll find yourself in prime territory for memorable adventures.

For families with children, this location checks nearly every box. Hersheypark and Chocolate World are just a short drive away, offering thrilling rides, interactive attractions, and of course, all the chocolate-themed experiences one could imagine. The Elizabethtown area itself provides a more relaxed pace, with local farms, shops, and restaurants reflecting the region's Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. Many families appreciate exploring farmers markets, sampling local cuisine, and taking scenic drives through the farmland that surrounds the area.

Beyond the tourist attractions, Lancaster County is a destination for those seeking authentic experiences. Buggy rides through Amish farmland, handcrafted furniture and quilts, farm-to-table dining, and peaceful countryside walks appeal to travelers looking for something more reflective. The region's history runs deep, with connections to Colonial America, the Revolutionary War, and the development of American agricultural traditions.

The proximity to both major attractions and quiet rural experiences makes this an ideal stopover for cross-country travelers or a multi-day destination for those wanting to balance excitement with relaxation. Whether you're pulling in for a quick overnight or settling in for a week-long exploration, this region offers the kind of diverse appeal that satisfies multiple generations and travel interests in one compact area.

I’ve been told this KOA is so good it would be unfair to judge other KOAs against it. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The amenities are all well kept and lovely. It is better far better than the description or the pictures made it seem. Our 8 year old daughter is so happy with her bed, and so enamored with the adorable pigs in the art in our cabin. We had a nice easy trip to Hershey this evening and now we’re sitting here in the peaceful night air, roasting marshmallows by the fire. If other KOAs are 75 percent as wonderful as this, I’ll be thrilled that we’ve become members.

I can not say enough about this campsite. We stayed for 5 days. Our campsite was beautiful. We had 2 dogs with us and we used the dog pen that was at our site. The place was so clean and my grandkids had such a great time playing with everything they had. I would reccomend this campsite for anyone who wants to have a terrific time. I wish I could give it more stars. Beautiful and clean!!!!

An absolutely fantastic KOA. Everything about this place is fantastic. My greeting by Sabrina in the office made me feel right at home. The assistance finding and parking at my site was very much appreciated. The grounds are super clean and manicured. My site had a patio, rocking chairs, fire pit, gas grill and a round picnic table. Everything was clean and orderly.

Stayed in cabin 122. This was the ideal place to set up for a week. The internet worked great which was important since I work remote. The campground is incredible clean and there’s lots to do. We typically try to stay away from traditional campgrounds and normally boondock or Harvest host. We were a bit nervous booking a site, but, wanted to be close to the Hershey RV show. We can’t express how happy we were with both the facility and the staff. The sites range from your normal campground sites to sites with private patios, gazebos and even private dog parks.
