It’s just solid, intentional, and run by people who genuinely care about kids having a good, meaningful experience. The staff make the difference. They’re engaged, they know what they’re doing, and they treat campers like individuals instead of numbers. Programs are well run, expectations are clear, and there’s a good balance between fun, challenge, and structure. What I appreciate most is that Camp Ware feels authentic. It’s a place where kids are encouraged to grow, try new things, and gain confidence without pressure or ego. You can tell a lot of thought goes into how the camp operates, and it shows in the experience campers walk away with. If you’re looking for a camp that focuses on people and purpose, not just activities, Camp Ware is absolutely worth it.

One of my favorite camps, as the facilities, volunteers, and staff members during the summer are all top notch. The staff and program are amazing. Built to keep kids moving from sun up to bedtime. My kids came home the first year with great memories, skills, and wanting to return next year.

Very clean accommodations . Lots of bunks and private rooms. Bathrooms are accessible from outside rooms as well; which makes late night trips less disruptive. Our scout troop had a blast. There is a close by fire pit available at every site. Great dining areas on each floor. Plenty of fridges. Gas stoves and sink water that is VERY HOT🔥. Check out the walking stick emblems. Pirate ship playground has seen better days but they do have a kickball field with benches

Stayed in cabins during winter. Scouts had fun & there’s a neat suspension bridge only a short hike away.
