Beautiful area easy to get to open grassy area with multiple areas to set up camp, quiet, peaceful area. Also has a water faucet as well as the restrooms. Had a lovely stay no bugs this time of year. The ranger came through which is very comforting. Had a lovely stay would definitely recommend and I look forward to returning with friends to share this lovely place.

Definitely off the beaten path, 4 miles i think to the highway. Very primitive with only a spigot for container or rv and clean, nonlighted vault outhouse. Plenty of spaces- its pretty much park where you want and no grills, fire pits or tables. Dig your own fire pit. No electricity, but hey! Its easily accessible, free, and clean. Great photo opportunity of a MASSIVE Oak tree that is roped off... Definitely off the beaten path, 4 miles i think to the highway. Great photo opportunity of a MASSIVE Oak tree that is roped off so no camping in that one small area around it, but there are others to camp under that are almost as large. Good for tents if weather turns wet. Park Ranger does come thru on occasion, as well as being a hunting spot during that season.

Great spot to camp. Big open field with a great view of the stars at night. No actual hiking trails but you can easily walk the service roads and enjoy nature. Just bring orange during hunting season. The camp site is a no hunting zone but if your gonna wonder the service roads it's best to be seen.

Great place to walk, jog, bike. We got cell service here with ATT. There is a vault toilet and water spigots for drinking water. You come down a paved road and it ends in dirt, then there's a left turn and the road starts to look scary. Especially when you get to the right turn, but our 40 foot Class A Towing a Jeep Grand Cherokee made it fine without any issue at all. No low-hanging branche, just a 10 thumbs up experience here. Highly recommended!
