It does seem like most campers at this campground live there full-time, but it seemed pretty empty and there were lots of tent sites available. The bathrooms were clean and as a solo female traveller, I felt safe and comfortable the whole time.

This is a great little place to stop in or live. Peaceful. Hot showers, clean restrooms. So much potential. But then everyone would be there. Travel pattern and numbering system is hard to follow. Solar lights on the trees by the road line would be helpful. Lighted Path to bathhouse would also be helpful. Love visiting. Easy drive to other locations.. st edwards Island Park and Beaufort. My favorite campground of all time! Great prices, clean and hot showers, great sites. Close to fort freeman and hunting island.
