It's such a beautiful campground! We loved being by the water where the kids and dogs got to play, sometimes together. There is also a really beautiful 1 mile hike right at the campsite that my entire family really enjoyed doing. We went during the off-season so there were a lot fewer people and I enjoyed that. Stayed here with my kids. Arrived late in the afternoon but still plenty of sites to choose from, even with a large group all camping together nearby. Pump for water, vault toilets, and a campground host nearby. Great one mile nature trail that starts in the campground, with views from the ridge above the campground. Lots of sites by the creek!

Beautiful place to camp if you are in the area. Two vault toilets, a hand pump for water. Listen to the creek and watch stars. Bring a warm sleeping bag and/or an extra blanket as it can get cold even in summer. Minutes from Spearfish Canyon.

Beautiful place to camp. Lots of challenging hikes. I liked falling asleep to the sound of the stream that runs past the camping sites. Stayed there a week in a tent and will definitely do again. Great location if you want to explore the Black Hills. Only drawback was the noise from all the atvs that went past several times a day, every day we were there.

We were already looking to camp for 2 days somewhere. Found this campsite on the GPS. We arrived at the campgrounds around midnight. The signs were misleading and unclear. We found what we thought was a campsite. We set up shop and said we would settle with the host in the morning. Early the next morning, around 7:30 a lady (I believe to be the host) came to our tents, yelling at us with a bad attitude, stating we weren't in a campsite and needed to leave. She asked if we paid. I told her we had not we were going to settle with the host in the morning. She said she was going to get her paperwork and we needed to pay then leave. I said, "lady, you're kicking us out?" She said if we left, she wouldn't change us. We decided to leave rather than deal with her anymore. Will never stay here again.
