The location of the park was in a perfect spot to be able to easily get to the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, and other tourist attractions. I highly recommend staying here.

The sites aren’t huge, but just about all of the upper ones are pull through. The lower ones are tent sites, cabins and it looks like less than full hook ups. The office is a little store with some essentials and some souvenir stuff. Maintenance guy and desk staff have been friendly and helpful. Cleaning girls are nice as well. There are a few restroom buildings, the one near me has 4 sinks, 4 showers, a few toilets and a couple urinals. These are cleaned daily and mostly updated. There is a seasonal pool, laundry ($2.50 wash $2.25 to dry) a game room, and a couple hotel rooms. The location is great, on a fairly busy road, but don’t notice the noise. Short drive into town and basically an hour or less to everywhere you wanna go. The only negative about this campground is, the roads or drives are a bit rough. I’ll get a picture and drop it here. I have been happy to be here all month, and would have no issues staying here again. Also, the views and sunrises are spectacular! Those fire looking sunrises are the view from the door of my camper.

The spots are very tight for motorhomes/trailers larger than 28 feet with slides. Very narrow. Plus the roads are pretty rough. The views though are spectacular and the common “lounge” area overlooking the city is a little gem. The prices are super reasonable and the staff are incredibly friendly.

We had a good stay. Our TV did not work due to a missing power cord and they were not able to fix the issue ( they did refund us a portion of the cost for the TV). There was no place to sit or clothes hook to hang / set your stuff on except the sink counter or the floor. Staff was always pleasant/courteous. The location was ideal for our stay. There was not much parking room for a large pickup.

The front desk was very helpful and when I had trouble with a washer she was there within a few minutes to help. The sites are flat and gravel but there is some erosion going on the end of some sites. The park is within 25 miles of Rushmore which was nice and it was close to decent restaurants also. There is some traffic noise at night. The sites are hard to get into and out of if you have a big rig. Also even though the sites are level the whole park is on an incline. There is this feeling of being in the sites like slice bread. The dog fenced area is also the kids playground area. Not sure how good a parent is gonna feel about letting their kids play in an area where dogs do there business. There were no dog poop bags when we let our dogs out to run there. The playground/ dog area is in a lower area than the campground. The steps going there are wide and there are railings but it was hard for me to get up and down the steps because of the arthritis I have, The area is also only partially fenced. The steep part is not fenced and of course one of my dogs wanted to run up that hill into the rv park area. The laundry room has 6 washers and dryers but 3 of the washers were not working. Also there is no parking in front of the laundry room. I had 2 baskets of clothes to get done and did not want to walk up an incline with both baskets to the laundry room. This park needs some updating and maintenance done. If you have a big rig I would try for another park.
