Such an amazing place to go see, the fall colors have so much richness and contrast that it really is a perfect escape. The trail around the lake is filled with spectacular views across the lake, excellent spots to cast a pole. The quietness is extremely relaxing. If your in the area I highly recommend you stopping in for some gorgeous sights.

Plenty of camping sites and very secluded. Easy check- in and at at least 10 bathrooms. There is even playgrounds for the kids. The average price is approximately $30 per night including parking. The lake is gorgeous and stocked with trout. Recommend

This is a national forest campground, and as such, has nicely spaced out campsites with plenty of privacy. The sites are nestled into the forest and underbrush, and have gravel pads. But the facilities leave a lot to be desired. The bathrooms were old, the door hardware quite rusty. Instead of posting signs in the bathroom, there were messages written in Sharpie on the tile walls. They have the push button shower faucets, which I abhor, but the water is at least hot. The spigots where you get drinking water were producing a clear yellow water that didn't smell or taste bad, but which seemed kinda sketchy. The day use area, which included a small lake, used to have a beach area, but the beach was small and overgrown with weeds. Two signs were posted, one which said to swim at your own risk and the other which said no swimming. I guess you get to pick which one you wish to ignore.

All of the campsites were secluded with vegetation between each site. Even though it's designed for tent camping, a number of them were also big enough to squeeze in a large camper. It is ideally located to nice hiking and bicycling trails. There was a nice playground for the children and it's pet friendly.

Love hiking around the lake here, it is so relaxing. The terrain is flat and views are beautiful.
