It really feels like you're tucked into nature without being too far from conveniences. What stood out the most was the friendly and helpful camp hosts and staff. They were always around with a smile, ready to answer questions, give local tips, or just share a friendly chat. It's clear they take pride in keeping the campground welcoming and running smoothly. If you’re looking for a well-kept, peaceful place to camp in Tennessee, Henry Horton is a gem. We’re already planning our next visit!

It is a lovely, quiet place to RV camp, tent camp or even "Hammock" camp. Heavily wooded with lots of nice places to walk/hike and a river nearby. It offers RVs electric and water hook ups, but no sewer. There is a single dump station available as you exit the park. There is an office/store, a playground and two bathroom/shower buildings with just 2 sinks but many toilet stalls and showers.... Across the [very busy] street is the Henry Horton State Park which offers more walking and a fantastic restaurant.

Beautiful! I saw so much cool wildlife out here. My first time in Tennessee from LA. A beautiful deer was right next to our campsite. I also saw maybe the biggest spider I’ve ever seen. Cowboy camping not recommended 😅
