Greeter Falls was an awesome stop off at Savage Gulf State park. The trails were well maintained. If you havent been before I highly recommend taking the hike to both the upper and lower falls. The lower falls offers the spiral staircase as well as the steeper areas. As you approach the falls there's wood steps that can get a little interesting trying to navigate as they get slick with the clay an... This state park is amazing! Their is a north south east and west side. We went to the north we hiked to the lookout what a beautiful view! It also has a stone door which is a boulder that is cracked and you walk through as you go down the stairs. They also have camping their and their is a visitor center. Don't forget to ask for your free passport book of all the state parks and get it stamped. Th... This state park is amazing! Their is a north south east and west side. I LOVE this state park. There’s multiple waterfalls & a great overlook. The trails are clearly marked with mileage, colors, & junction signs. The map from the visitors center is detailed & clear. The park is clean & well maintained. We loved it so much we came back the next wkend bc we missed a waterfall even after 17 mi of hiking over 2 days & camped a night. The map from the visitors center is detailed & clear. The park is clean & well maintained. We loved it so much we came back the next wkend bc we missed a waterfall even after 17 mi of hiking over 2 days & camped a night. All of the staff were super friendly & very helpful. Some places are very accessible, others are for experienced hikers. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful state park! It may be my favorite. Warning to others: know your limit, wear good hiking shoes, pack some basic emergency supplies & a laminated map, stop by the visitor center for helpful info of where to go based on your interest & hiking ability, show up early. Cell service is spotty & doesn’t work when you go in the gulf. Don’t rely on your phone to get you places solely. There are snakes (back away & leave them alone) & hornets/bees etc. keep any food & drink in a closed ziplock. Enjoy your time. It’s a beautiful place!

Beautiful but very slippery. I fell on the very large rock, about 10 ft. It should have warnings. I'm an avid hiker. I don't fall often. Don't step on the big rock and you should be fine. Go left at the bottom and be careful!
