Chorro Vista is one of my favorite campsites in BBR. It is remote, primitive, has some great views, and makes for a nice drive out. Word of caution: ask about the road conditions before heading out. There are spots where the road could be washed out. Also, a couple of hills are loose gravel/rocks. 4WD could be required. Expect desert pinstriping from the vegetation if it is overgrown. The... Chorro Vista is one of my favorite campsites in BBR. It is remote, primitive, has some great views, and makes for a nice drive out. Word of caution: ask about the road conditions before heading out. There are spots where the road could be washed out. Also, a couple of hills are loose gravel/rocks. 4WD could be required. Expect desert pinstriping from the vegetation if it is overgrown. The campsite itself is set off from the parking area and has a table and fire ring. It is pretty rocky and level spots are few and far between. Gnats can be a problem at this site.

Fantastic view, lots of space, and protected from wind. The camp site is very remote and requires a high clearance 4WD to get there. I would definitely stay here again.
