It's a great place to swim and it's free but there's a bunch of zebra mussels so you must wear shoes in the water so your feet don't get cut up. And also the water is not see through so you don't know what you're about to step on. There's plenty seating and parking.

We stayed at the park for a month and loved seeing the deer and bunnies. We had a great view of the lake as does most all the RV sites. Full hook-ups, it was so peaceful and quiet, and the staff were very friendly.

This is THE BEST place on Lake Brownwood! The only place to RV, tent camp, fish, swim, cook out, rent kayaks, launch a boat and play sand volleyball all in one location. The new owners and managers (Jack & Pam, Gino & Lisa) have worked incredibly hard to make Flat Rock very beautiful! Also, the store and restaurant are open now. What an amazing place!

I'm not sure who manages the park, but we've been waiting 55 minutes past the posted open time for the park to open and no one is answering the phone number listed. We've had 2 families leave already because the gates aren't open, and currently 5 cars full of families waiting to get in so we can start our Labor Day fun. Pretty disrespectful if you ask me and the other families I've spoken to.
