Very remote and relaxing. Great views of La Mota Mountain. Campsite is a little ways from the road, and the road is very hard to get through with 2WD, despite what the map may claim, and the trip to the site is quite time-consuming However, it is overall very nice and sheltered site. Just know what you are getting into, as it shocked us initially when we saw the condition of the road.

As previous review stated, very remote and relaxing. I drove in a stock 2019 ranger 2wd , 8.4 inch clearance and managed to do okay. But not a drive for the faint of heart, especially if you have never driven off-road. Some areas I would say should be labeled as 4X4. Not a whole ton to hike, as a private ranch sits nearby, and limits your wild hiking experience back along the road or over a mountain in one direction. Loved it.

I loved staying at La Mota 2. You need a high clerance vehicle and some off road experience. I drove a subaru outback, and it was bottoming out and scraping paint. I wont be taking that car again. It takes a while to get to the site but it is well worth it.
