It's a nice park over all and beautiful scenery and hiking trails. Camping sites are nice and mostly shaded. It does have a beach/swimming area but it is small and not sand but pebbles. Lots of recreational seating and public bathrooms.

We loved camping here! Day use and camping sites both have these great covered picnic tables. Most water-side sites have a peek-a-boo water view and parallel parking. Lots of shade! Check out time is 2pm, woohoo. I will say, sites are close together, we could hear every word of both neighbors' conversations. Lots of random well- camouflaged rocks around so careful for ankle rolls and triple peek your tent spot! Also, cactus.

We reserved tent sites #1 &2. Im glad because they were kind of close together. The area was well shaded with trees over mostly everything. The parking spaces aren't in the dirt on each site but on cement parallel to other site(s) by the road. Not too far though. The bathrooms arent too far and were nice with showers and good lighting but there was no hand soap at the sinks. I really liked it over... We reserved tent sites #1 &2. Great park for camping or a day visit. We LOVE site #21. Great views of the water though no direct access to water unless you hike down the very steep side. Super short drive to the pepple beach. Clean bathrooms. No shade at the beach and can get very busy on weekends. Definitely worth bringing your inflatable boats or paddle boards, lots of beautiful places to explore on the water. Very kid frien... Great park for camping or a day visit. We LOVE site #21. Great views of the water though no direct access to water unless you hike down the very steep side. Lots to do, fun day with the family! We don’t like crowds so we went before the holiday hit and it was perfect! By the way, lots of fish, big fish jumping, wish I didn’t forget my pole.
