Awesome site to visit and very scenic at night. Great spot to see the Milky Way at night and if you're looking for adventure it was definitely one getting out here. Great spot to see the Milky Way at night and if you're looking for adventure it was definitely one getting out here. No shaded shelter like other sites have. Sun set and sunrise are very scenic and it was probably one of coolest places I got to visit in Texas. The ranch is massive and you definitely feel alone. Wish we got to explore some of the trails out there but no time to this visit. Downsides, we were not warned about the very narrow trail. 100% need more than 9" of ground clearance, 4x4 trail and you will need it for the Rocky terrain. Be prepared to pinstripe your vehicle, and recommend making sure the under body of the vehicle is protected. Lots of plants and rocks in the middle of the trail. Would of gave it 5 stars for the location and was going to give it 3 because the entire time you are rubbing mesquite bushes. Drove a 2023 Subaru Forester wilderness stock out to the trail on stock tires (on road/off road geolanders at trail 28" tires). I was with a friend with a truck and recovery gear in case anything went wrong. Highly recommended to have a high clearance 4x4 or AWD with a locker and bring a spare. There is a lot of plant life and pointed rocks.

Is the actual campsite really cool, yes. However be prepared for how narrow the trail is and how the mesquite bushes will destroy your paint job. Also somewhat technical trail towards the end that requires high clearance. Be aware of $1500 tow charge should your Subaru Wilderness Edition not make it out (it will barely, with assistance)

The road to the campsite was fun but very rough you will get Pinstripes! In between Yedra 1 and Yedra 2 campsite there is a section on the road that has some decent sized boulders you have to go across make sure you have high clearance. The road is un maintained. Make sure and come prepared with enough food and water and coverage/shelter. There is a picnic table and a fire ring available at the campsite. I was able to get a bit cell service at the entrance to the campsite

Good trail. Will get pinstriping as with most trails in the park if that matters to you. Site is located between two large rock formations. Picnic table and fire pit, no shade structure. Drive to Yedra trailhead is short. Hike to Cueva Large is worth it for great view of the area and springs across the area. No issues in 4x4 3/4 ton square body suburban on 33s, no lift, open diffs.
