This is probably the cleanest COE Park I've visited this entire summer!🧹 I see the park hosts, they have a four-wheel vehicle. They are out and about. They are inspecting and cleaning.🙌🏻 However, The ceiling in the bath house has more than 20 years of spider nests, cobwebs,🕸️ hornet nests, and junk all over the ceiling so thick it looks like a Halloween haunted house!🕷️ It is absolutely horren... The waterfront sites are beautiful. But one section doesn't have a whole lot of trees and can be a bit hot. Two other items which could deter you from choosing to visit here are the ants🐜🐜🐜 and the birds.🐦🐦🐦 The ant piles are absolutely everywhere. If you are tenting you would have to take some serious precautions. And the mockingbirds. If you have tinted windows they will make a mess out of your truck and your camper trying to attack the reflection! 😲 If you unknowingly get a site near one of their nests. 😬 They are relentless! 😖 And besides the mockingbirds there can be a occasional vulture issue. If you have a soft top on your truck bed, roll it up because those birds will tear it up!🤬 It's a decent sized park. With three individual loops. An entire herd of deer🦌 Must be a dozen newborns. Conveniently located restrooms, and dozens of dumpsters! It's a pretty nice park. Quite large. Great for walking around. But a lot of it is in disrepair, although there are some exceptions like I see there has been some work done on the beams surrounding the sites👷🏻‍♂️ Something else unusual is this location has five boat🚤 ramps in two different areas of the park. 😱 Very popular on the weekends! During the summer of course.🏊🏻‍♂️ There is a pretty nice trail here.🚶🏻‍♂️🥾 It's wide. Does need some maintenance.🚧 But it is a pleasant morning or afternoon walk. Take your dog.

Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets over the water. Loads of wildlife to view. Shady spots are a godsend in the Texas heat. Very friendly and helpful staff. 3 days and 2 nights of peaceful beauty.

The boat ramp had plenty of good options on busiest weekend July 4th, was clean area and nicely kept, even provided a few spare life jackets for if someone may have forgot there that I seen just hanging off a sign.Folks that loaded and unload there all seem to be locals , that know how to actually drive a boat onto a trailer ,with even better driving wives pulling them with truck, fast safe and effi...
