About La Vista RV Park

Campground in Texas.

La Vista RV Park offers a serene escape in the heart of the Texas Big Bend region, providing RV travelers with an authentic taste of West Texas hospitality and natural beauty. Located in Alpine, a charming mountain town nestled at 4,400 feet elevation, this park serves as an ideal base for exploring one of America's most dramatic and unspoiled landscapes.

Alpine itself is a gateway community to Big Bend National Park, one of the most magnificent and remote national parks in the United States. The park's location on South State Highway 118 positions it perfectly for easy access to outdoor adventures while maintaining a peaceful, away-from-it-all atmosphere that many RV travelers seek. The area's high elevation means cooler temperatures even during Texas summers, making it an appealing destination year-round for those escaping extreme heat.

The surrounding region is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Big Bend National Park beckons with world-class hiking trails ranging from leisurely scenic walks to challenging backcountry adventures. The Rio Grande forms a stunning natural border, offering opportunities for river activities and spectacular views. Beyond the park's boundaries, visitors can explore the vast Chisos Mountains, experience exceptional stargazing thanks to minimal light pollution, and discover hidden canyons and desert landscapes that feel untouched by time.

Alpine itself provides a welcoming small-town atmosphere with local dining options, shops, and galleries that reflect the area's rich ranching and mining heritage. The community has a genuine, unpretentious character that appeals to travelers seeking authentic experiences rather than tourist traps. Cultural attractions, including local museums and art installations, offer insight into Big Bend's fascinating history.

This destination is perfect for RVers who appreciate solitude and natural wonders, photographers seeking dramatic landscapes, hiking enthusiasts, and anyone looking to disconnect and reconnect with the outdoors. Whether you're planning an extended stay to thoroughly explore Big Bend or using it as a stopping point on a larger road trip, La Vista RV Park provides a comfortable home base for your Texas adventure.

This is one of my favorite places to stay in the greater Davis Mountains and Big Bend area. Perfect stopover to Big Bend. Good price, but full hook-up & the shower/restroom facilities are wonderful. Heated & includes full kitchen! Will always stop here now when I go to the park. All sites are pull‐thru for big rigs. Got good cellular as well.

They left cell phone number on answering machine and answered first time. Bathrooms and showers very clean and pleasant smelling and they even have the good toilet paper 😎. Kitchen/dining area available for eating/washing dishes. Keurig available for coffee. Propane was turned off on stove so I don't think cooking is allowed in there though. Coin operated laundry. About 10 minutes south of Alpine. Wifi available at kitchen/laundry/bathhouse. Barely reached our site #1 if we held our mouths right. Best to stay as close as possible to there. Would definitely stay here again!

Simple yet wonderful RV park outside of Alpine and Marfa. Beautiful views of the mountains and a nice cool breeze, even in the summer. All sites are pull through with full hookups and level.
