Campground, showers, restroom clean. No tents allowed, laundry is on site. If you are handicapped the shower area is not accessible due to 10 in steps an no handicapped toliet in the shower area. However there is a handicapped toliet in the kitchen dining area

The selfish side of me wants to keep this gem hidden. But the owners work hard at ensuring when you visit, whether one day, one weekend, one month, or you stay so long it becomes your home, you're going to be treated like family and the peaceful beauty will be etched in your memories forever.

The people of Powderhorn were great. My family set camper up for a month and we went out on a Saturday to spread my dad's ashes in his favorite fishing spot. They had a Halloween party the same night and I met some of the folks he knew. Nice folk

I stayed at Powderhorn RV Park from Dec 30 to Apr 15 this past year. I can only say that Mike (owner/manager) was exceptionally friendly and went out of his way to make me comfortable and included me in the social events. Every month they had a songwriter come in to do a concert. They also had month birthday bashes. The park has a clubhouse and a bathroom trailer with showers. The lake is well kno... The lake is well know for its Redfish and Black Drum. The majority of the other residents of the park were very friendly. Couldn't have asked for better neighbors. Even the few that weren't friendly...they weren't rude or anything. They were just shy. To sum it up .... I hope they have an opening for me next winter when I return to south Texas.
