Best thing about this park was the location on the island. The park has very tight sites. The grounds are not really good for walking dogs. Very few grass areas sites are all rock , with asphalt through the rest for the park. I was concerned my dog would burn his feet because of all the asphalt. Got woke up 2 mornings by the dumpsters eing emptied at 5:30 in the morning. Staff was extremely hel... Best thing about this park was the location on the island. The park has very tight sites. The spots close together like most KOAs, but still very nice. I felt like I was truly on vacation at a beach resort. The staff is great, super nice, and always working hard to make to sure the place is clean. The pool is large, especially for a KOA, and it's very clean. The hot tub was large too. A busy but lovely KOA holiday spot! Went around Christmas time. Temperature was a lovely 75° the 4 days we were there. The sites are a good size though id definitely go back to get an ocean facing spot- the sunsets are beautiful to watch from there. The staff are all super friendly, even having to work on Christmas. They had lots of events on the weekend with music, smores and sundaes. Very short... A busy but lovely KOA holiday spot! Went around Christmas time. Very short drive to the beach, lots of access points with free parking. 5 minutes from a marina where we did a dolphin tour with Isla tours. Dog park and short stretch of grass to walk pets. Camp store with snacks and souvenirs. Can also rent kayaks for $25/hour or bring your own. We saw dolphins while kayaking. Showers were good, some private ones and one more communal. Our water connection was leaking a lot but we just tried to turn it off when not in use. Would definitely come back and even stay longer!! Forgot I was in Texas for the time.
