Good place with a very nice parking area. A good place outside the set and enjoying the atmosphere and the environment is very friendly. I recommend people to come out here and hang out at the famous Lodge and RV Park.

I love going to Matagorda. The park is nice everybody is friendly cept one girl working in the office who is a real pain. This venue is a lil exspensive, but it beats sleeping on the beach. The showers are hit n miss. One keeps hot water on and you can not get it cooler. The other two are like trying to catch rain drops to wash your hair. The bathroom is hard to open. The pad of numbers is salty... I love going to Matagorda. The park is nice everybody is friendly cept one girl working in the office who is a real pain. The other two are like trying to catch rain drops to wash your hair. The bathroom is hard to open. The pad of numbers is salty and hard to operate. I am speaking for the Women's only as that's the one i use. On a good note. There's always hand towels and toilet paper. The park is kept clean. We were packing up sunday the 16th 2021. And someone had dumped ashes in the correct can, but there was trash in it. We put out the fire with the water i brought. You need to watch out where you put your trash as the cans are for ashes only... The park is now building cabins. They are going to be exspensive. I wish they would put more rv sites in as it's hard to get a reservation. The place is packed every time we go. We have ppl we've met that go year after year just like us. It's nice to run into them. We have never had a problem with theives but this year talked to two diff ppl that had items stolen from their campsite. The guy Sam who drives around making sure everyone is where their supposed to be is a very nice man. There's been gators in the body of water that seperates N camp from S camp...
