The location strikes an ideal balance between convenience and tranquility, making it perfect for both cross-country travelers and those seeking a longer stay to explore the local area.

Canton itself is a charming community with deep roots in Texas history and culture. The town is particularly famous for hosting one of the largest flea markets in the United States, the Canton Trade Days, which draws visitors from across the country several times each year. This iconic event transforms the area into a bustling marketplace where you can find everything from antiques and collectibles to handcrafted goods and local merchandise. Beyond the flea market, Canton offers genuine Texas hospitality with local dining options, shops, and attractions that reflect the region's character.

The surrounding area provides numerous opportunities for exploration and outdoor recreation. Visitors appreciate the proximity to Lake Palestine, a beautiful destination for fishing, boating, and water activities just a short drive away. The region is also home to several state parks and nature areas where you can enjoy hiking, picnicking, and wildlife viewing. I came in an emergency situation. Everyone was super helpful. There’s a catch and release fishing pond with some NICE size fish!! My daughter had a blast! Showers and laundry room are super clean. There’s not a 10yr rv rule here. The park is well maintained. Close to First Monday in Canton. Just up the I20 to Yesterland and the Splash Park. About an hour to Dallas. Less than an hour to Tyler.

Many great memories at Wagon Train, meeting people from all over and sharing adventures. Clean park, level sites and plenty of room between the sites. Each season brought something spectacular, including the solar eclipse of 2024!

Awesome place to stay. We research places for hours sometimes, and we rely heavily on reviews to pick where we go and what we do. Then we hope for the best till we get where we are going. It was a 3 hour drive to get here, and for anyone pulling a travel trailer, you know the trip can be nerve-wracking at it best and you can only hope the spot you picked out is a good one. Then we hope for the best till we get where we are going. It was a 3 hour drive to get here, and for anyone pulling a travel trailer, you know the trip can be nerve-wracking at it best and you can only hope the spot you picked out is a good one. We were about halfway here when Gayle called us and let us know she had several sites open that we would probably like much better than the one we picked out. We had chosen a back in site in the back of the park, and while it was still a good site, the one she recommended was much better. My wife told her this was our first excursion with an rv, and she told us that if we needed help, her husband would be more than happy to help us set up if we needed it. The park was clean and peaceful, and the sites were well maintained. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We came to visit the first Monday trade days, and it only takes about 10 minutes to get there from here. We had an awesome stay, and I highly recommend Wagon Train to anyone looking for a place to set up for the event.

Polite staff and a clean park. Conveniently located on I-20. Excellent for quick overnight stops. No time to visit the area, but nice rolling hills.

I can't say enough good things about this place! I stayed here for 2 months while working in the area and Karen and David were awesome the entire time. The place was always clean and organized. The spaces are wide with plenty of room to pull through. I'd recommend this place for 1 night stays, long term and anything in between. If I'm back in the area I will definitely be staying here again!
