A beautiful State Park not far from home (for us). Very enjoyable experience. So many birds and the scenery is just beautiful. We stayed in a "cabin"; a walled shelter that had four walls, a locked door and windows, and AC/heat wall unit. Trails are very navigable and the history of the 3807(C) isn't forgotten!

It's a smallish park but very nice. Sunset over the lake was beautiful! We enjoyed kayaking on the navasota River and the hiking trails. The actual roads could use some TLC. My son loved swinging from the thick woody vines along the trails and wants to go back 😀

Friendly park rangers who were always a call away. The park itself had wonderful trails and hikes. The sheltered area we stayed at was clean and well kept. The restrooms and shower areas were clean and taken cared of daily. The only thing that was a bummer was having all the piers closed but they did have it disclosed on their website.

Such a pretty park. The campground is clean and well attended. Cannot beat the sunsets here across the lake! Also lots of fish - you can watch them jumping all across the lake at dusk.
