After taking the elevator to the top, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the battlefield from the observation deck. The reflecting pool is lined with walking paths, perfect for photography and enjoying the view up close. To better understand the area, we did a self-guided driving tour of the historical markers. During sunset, the light and shadows enhance the beauty of the monument. The staff members are really welcoming and friendly. The museum's gift shop offers a beautiful selection of souvenirs.

Finally made it here and wasn't disappointed, not a very appealing area until you finally arrive at the Park... very interesting Museum with lots of exhibits, artifacts and theatre showing a very good 30+ minute film on the history of Texas. Took the elevator to the top of the Monument, not much to see up there, small room with a few windows but nice views of the local surroundings (unfortunately a lot of it is just industrial area) but still worth taking the ride up. Discounted admission for Seniors and Veterans, definitely worth a stop by if in the area to learn about Texas history.

This is a MUST visit for any history buff. Sooo much to see and learn at an affordable price, with free parking - but a couple takeaways: It is freezing cold inside. Bring warmer layers to truly enjoy. Everyone was complaining, I mean everyone. When outside - be ware of mosquitoes in grass areas. Stick to the trails. They have a documentary that’s 35 minutes long - totally worth watching! So... This is a MUST visit for any history buff. So much unbelievable info. Definitely go to the top and check out the views from all 4 sides. Even people afraid of heights will be okay at the top. Drive around to all the markers. Absolutely worth the short drive to understand the scope of the area and what happened where. This is an ongoing archeological site. They are learning more everyday and adding more to make it worth coming back to.

Breathtaking! Very neat to look around even outside. The exhibits have meaningful artifacts, the staff is kind and courteous, the gift shop has some good finds, and the documentary narrated by Charleton Heston is a work of art!
