Great place to camp, but be careful of the site you choose, we chose a site that said for tent camping and up to 14 people, but the space for tents was very limited. Thankfully, we were able to switch to a first come, first serve that was more tent friendly. Keep in mind that the water is a bit of a way from loop A, but there is plenty of parking next to the water. There is a little shop with food... Let me start by saying a much-needed trip for myself. I had the pleasure of staying at Aspen Campground and the opportunity to extend my stay. The choice became easy because of Jan and Richard. I carved a fish in the belly of the whale. We will be back soon thank you, Jan and Richard The MARTIN family will return.

I love the 10pm quiet rule. Lots of options, like dry camping with camper, tent, they even have a full hookup option. Varying levels of tree cover as well. Higher into the canyon usually means more trees.

This place was great. Exceeded my expectations. They even had flush toilets. Views of the lake from parts of the campground and some camp spots are tucked away in the trees. You can chill in the campground or go on a nearby hike or go play in the water. We plan to return.

I stayed at both site 19 and 20 after the latter opened up my second night. Loop A is where the nice aspens and pines are and it's much better suited to tent camping, especially in the heat of the summer. Jan and Richard were the very best. Accommodating and helpful. They had their card reader set up to take the camping fees. And they had a couple hummingbird feeders by their camper so the whole campground was buzzing with them. The campground is less than half a mile to one of the marinas and there's also a small shop there if you need sundries, ice, or advice on the best spots to fish at.
