USFS website says campsites do not have picnic tables or fire pits, but as you can see in the photo both are available at the sites. Places for tents are a bit uneven, but there's opportunities for hammocking. Only a mile hike to get into the sites. This area is so rad, Camping is not maintained by any state offices, so it''s primitive camping.

This is an old abandoned campground, but we still think it's a great place for a short family camp out. The walk in is short and easy for young children (wide gravel road) and there are decent picnic tables near the camping spots. This place isn't maintained anymore, which honestly makes it even cooler. It's about a mile trek from the parking lot. The wide open fields or dense forrest make great places to camp or hang a hammock, and it feels pretty remote since it's not maintained anymore. The trail is pretty heavily used so be sure to withdraw a bit from it if you like your privacy.

We love backpacking into this little campground with our kids. It's under a mile and quiet. There are no amenities so pack out everything
