We had a great experience at Sunrock. Shad and his team are doing a fantastic job bringing this historic camp back to life, paying homage to Steiner and bringing their own passion to make it better. Their staff was great and it never felt restrictive, like some camps have. They were there for the attendees and want everyone to have a great experience. The sites are great, with water, portable toil... We had a great experience at Sunrock. The sites are great, with water, portable toilets, seclusion from others, fire pits, picnic tables, and many have sheltered Adirondacks, which the boys loved. Worth checking it out for a summer camp for young men, young women, or youth. On top of it all is the beauty of the High Uintahs.

Great place! Came up for one of the family weeks this summer. Very peaceful at 10,400 feet elevation! Toilets weren’t in bad shape. A great camping experience.

This campground is set in a beautiful wilderness area. Black bears are present in the mountains, so be mindful of them. The lake is ideal for fishing, bring a rod if you’re interested. I camped here for a week as a scout in 2015 and worked/camped here again for a month as a leader in 2019, which I believe was the last year the BSA owned the property. I'm very glad to see it’s open again and being... This campground is set in a beautiful wilderness area. Black bears are present in the mountains, so be mindful of them. Visited with a scout troop and had a great time. The facilities were in great condition at our site. Several camp sites in need of repair, but Shad and his family were great hosts. We will definitely visit again!

It is a great scout camp. Don't plan on being able to park right next to your camp site. Only a few sites allow this. It is very rugged and the facilities are very basic. Because of the high altitude, drink plenty of water and don't be surprised if even the shortest of walks leave you out of breath.
