My recent stay there was one of those rare weekends where everything just aligns: the views, the wildlife, the comfort, the peace. From the moment I drove up into Bull Canyon toward the RV park, the scenery was breathtaking: towering plateaus, red-rock fingers of Fisher Towers slicing the sky, vistas that make you feel small in the most wonderful way. The park is tucked into the La Sal Mountains (about an hour outside Moab), high enough in elevation (~8,100 ft) to give relief from the desert heat. What really made the stay special: • The lakes nearby (Hidden Lake and Don’s Lake) were excellent for fishing—lots of trout and peaceful water; I caught fish one after another. • Wildlife was everywhere: deer, fawns, does, large bucks even 5 cow elk… the quiet rustle of nature in the trees. • The trails are abundant: for hiking, biking, side-by-side / ATV exploring. Old mines, homesteads, hidden log cabins (some nearly intact, others crumbling into history)—it felt like walking through stories. • The aspens are just starting to turn, ponderosa pines are classic and strong, air is crisp and clean. Nights are unpolluted—stars so bright it hurts your eyes in a good way. • The RV I rented was supremely comfortable: a great bed, clean facilities, running water, a working fireplace. They even brought in rock fill so mud wasn’t an issue for parking; the gathering area had pristine sand, and there’s a horseshoe pit and frisbee golf. The park layout and amenities: • Spacious sites, full hookups (water, sewer, good power options), tent sites also available. • Good restrooms/showers, clean, well lit, well marked. • Camp host is friendly, and communication is quick and helpful. • It strikes the perfect balance: remote enough to be peaceful, yet close enough to Moab so you aren’t completely off the grid. Everything about this place earns 5 stars in my book. One of the best nature-weekends I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature, wildlife, clean comfortable camping/RV stays, exploring without overwhelming tourist crowds.

The air was cool and the setting wonderfully quiet—such a refreshing change from the bustle of Moab. We rented a large, well-appointed RV that was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to settle right in. During our stay, we hiked and rode into the surrounding wilderness, which felt untouched, even on Labor Day Weekend. In the evenings, we cooked delicious meals and enjoyed them in the peaceful mountain air. The quiet here is truly something special. And at night, the sky opened up with stars so brilliant and close it was like we could touch them. This is a gem of a place for anyone looking to slow down, connect with nature, and take in some of the most majestic mountain nights imaginable. Highly recommend!
