There was no firewood for purchase on site, so we split our own from all of the downed trees and used the mulch from all of the chipper/shredder debris in the campground. A lot of brush piled up throughout waiting to be lit. I was really hopeful from previous reviews and pictures because the place looked like it had A LOT of shade. But that is not the case now. We reserved camp site 8 based off of a review on here that had a pic of the trees shading the site, now those trees are gone. See pics. Hoping the growth takes back off because this is a great location.

The campground is a piece of paradise. Fish jump out of a lake surrounded by a pine-covered cliff and a green meadow. The stars are vibrant on clear nights. Larger vehicles may have trouble.
