We LOVED the location and to be honest, the campground was the best of the three in the immediate vicinity, so why a three? We are on the last leg of 4000 mile road trip and we have stayed in NFS campgrounds across the western states. Comparartively speaking, this campground was too high priced at 33$ a night with no hookup of any kind. They had potable water but would not let you connect a hose.... If you are car or tent camping you would like this CG but if you’re in an RV there are better choices. Try dry camping up in the Ashley NF. It’s way better. That’s what we did on our outbound leg. PS. Keep a close eye on dogs and little kids here. The drop off at the rim is seriously dangerous ( but oh so beautiful).

Gorgeous campground! We were there in early October and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Can't wait to go back again! Clean pit toilets. Bear safe dumpsters. Seasonal water spouts (turned off during our trip).

Amazing location, close enough that it's only 15 minutes-ish to the marina. Close to the visitor center where the staff (Dennis and Christina) were funny, knew their stuff and made my 2 kids feel special. One of the best things about this campsite is you can do a short walk to several amazing lookout sites with amazing views. Restroom was clean. The highlight of our trip was having a herd of big... This is a very nice campground. Nice level paved sites.. The cleanest vault toilets I've encountered which I appreciate a lot. Some nice walks nearby. Pretty view of the canyon and river close.

I just visited this campground on 5/2/19. It was beautiful! So peaceful, not a lot of people around. We have the camping spot 9 - highly recommend!! We were right overlooking the gorge and I cannot describe how beautiful it was (see picture). All in all this is a hidden gem of a campground, and I am suggesting to all my friends that they visit here!
