This place is beautiful. It has a lot of shade so you dont have to worry about taking a canopy. I recommend to go during the week. It gets very busy and a lot of people are there on the weekends . I also recommend to get there early. if you go by the middle of the day there is a line and it takes a while to get in.

Worst experience ever at Pleasantview Reservoir Picnic Area! This place is an absolute rip-off. They charge a ridiculous $23 entry fee and give you zero facilities in return. You can’t even drive your car anywhere near the picnic area – instead, you’re forced to carry all your stuff for almost a mile through sand even though they have a massive parking lot sitting empty right there. What’s the point of that? When we asked why we couldn’t take the car closer, the staff were extremely rude, dismissive, and downright unwelcoming. We asked for a refund immediately after realizing how ridiculous the setup was, and they flat out said “no refunds.” No customer service, no flexibility, nothing. Honestly, it felt like they just wanted to take people’s money and make everything as inconvenient as possible. Don’t waste your time, energy, or money here. There are plenty of better picnic spots that don’t charge in unreasonable way. One of the worst managed places I’ve ever been to.

We rented out the beach for a birthday party only to have them not let anyone in. Staff was super rude and would not even have a conversation to help remedy the situation; "should have gotten here earlier". Huge bust. So many other lakes in Utah, go to one of them.

Nice beach area with public restrooms. My wife and I love to go sit on the beach in the evenings on the weekends and look at the lake after a nice dinner in Ogden.

Beautiful spot and the way to get there, too. It's a lot of fun if you bring your paddleboard and your cooler, you will have a blast!
