About Tony Grove Campground

Campground in Utah.

Nestled in the scenic landscape of northern Utah, Tony Grove Campground offers RV enthusiasts a genuine escape into nature's embrace. Located within the national forest system, this destination provides the perfect balance between accessibility and wilderness adventure, making it an ideal choice for families, couples, and solo travelers seeking authentic outdoor experiences.

The surrounding area showcases some of Utah's most stunning natural beauty. Towering pines and mixed forests create a cool, refreshing atmosphere, especially welcome during the warmer months. The elevation provides relief from summer heat, and the crisp mountain air makes for exceptionally comfortable camping conditions. Visitors will find themselves surrounded by the kind of peaceful quiet that seems increasingly rare, where the dominant sounds are birds singing and wind rustling through trees rather than highway traffic.

What makes Tony Grove Campground particularly appealing is its proximity to diverse recreational opportunities. Hiking enthusiasts will discover numerous trails ranging from easy walks to more challenging day hikes that reward exploration with panoramic vistas and hidden alpine meadows. The natural forest setting provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, photography, and simply reconnecting with nature. The cooler mountain climate also makes this an excellent refuge during peak summer season when lower elevation areas become uncomfortably hot.

The national forest location means you're camping in a protected natural environment where conservation and preservation are paramount. This setting attracts visitors who appreciate the genuine outdoors experience without resort-style amenities getting in the way of authentic nature time. The area is well-suited for those who enjoy solitude and natural beauty, whether you're an experienced outdoor enthusiast or someone just beginning to explore camping adventures.

For families, the peaceful environment and recreational opportunities create wonderful memories without the crowds of more developed tourist destinations. The location works well for travelers exploring northern Utah's broader region, including nearby national parks and scenic byways. Whether you're using Tony Grove as a base camp for further exploration or your primary destination, the mountain setting and outdoor access make it a memorable Utah camping experience.

Wonderful camping area way off the canyon road. Nice tall pines and very quiet. Great hiking trail around the lake. Also road my mtn bike to the further out lake White Pine. Beware of the last mile or so to White Pine if you don't like steep descents and a few hike a bike sections. Campground clean, including bathrooms. Very close to Beaver ski area for more hiking and mtn biking. Just a wonderful... Wonderful camping area way off the canyon road. Nice tall pines and very quiet. Great hiking trail around the lake. Tony Grove is a great place to spend the day. You have many options of things to do. You can park in the parking lot and hike to White Pine lake. You can kayak, fish, or just swim. It is a pristine little mountain lake.

Great campground with paved access. Many of the sites are small and bigger campers may have problems getting into their spots. Sites had fire rings and picnic tables. Clean restrooms and trash collection on site but no water for drinking. Tony Grove Lake is beautiful and there is great hiking all around the area. All sites are reservable but the hosts try to accommodate people (like myself) who drop in. I was there almost a week and many of the sites though reserved were empty. They need to block off some sites for FCFS to better serve the public. I was there over a weekend and every site was reserved...but only half were occupied. I'm seeing this trend in many campgrounds near urban or popular areas where people will reserve a site "just in case" they decide want to camp. Over all it's a great place and we had a great time hiking and swimming in the lake. No cell service at the CG.

This campground is very beautiful and definitely worth a try! We were on site 22 and it was just a few minutes walk from the lake. The campsites are right on top of each other, literally zero privacy. They have port a potties available, but the actual bathrooms are closed. There is no water at all, not even a water spigot so make sure to bring your own.

Host slept through it even though he was only 2 sites away.
