About Upper Narrows Campground

There are six single sites; no reservations as singles but you can reserve sites 1-4 and the USFS treats it as a small group site or reserve all 6 to serve as a big group site. 16/50/105 fees are confirmed May 2021. Pets must be on a leash.

Upper Narrows Campground offers a serene and intimate camping experience nestled within the heart of Utah's stunning national forest landscape. With only six sites, this small campground provides exactly what many RV travelers seek: a quiet escape from the crowded, commercialized parks that dominate the camping industry. The intimate setting means you'll never feel like you're camping in a parking lot, and your neighbors will be fellow nature enthusiasts who respect the peaceful environment.

The campground's location in Utah positions you in one of the most geologically dramatic regions of the American West. The towering canyon walls, pristine forest surroundings, and clean mountain air create an atmosphere that feels worlds away from everyday life. Whether you're watching sunrise paint the canyon walls or settling in for a starlit evening, the natural beauty here is truly exceptional. The forest setting provides welcome shade during the day and a cool respite from Utah's typically hot summers.

This destination appeals particularly to travelers who value solitude and natural beauty over resort-style amenities. If you're someone who comes to the outdoors to actually experience nature rather than escape to a developed facility, Upper Narrows delivers exactly what you're looking for. The small size makes it ideal for those seeking a backcountry experience without venturing too far from established campground infrastructure. Hikers, photographers, and nature lovers will find themselves captivated by the surrounding landscape and the opportunities for exploration.

The area surrounding the campground offers numerous outdoor recreation opportunities. The national forest lands provide endless trails for hiking and opportunities to discover waterfalls, ridgelines, and hidden vistas. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the pristine waters nearby. The region is also perfect for those interested in wildlife viewing, photography, and simply soaking in the tranquility of undeveloped forest. This campground serves as an excellent basecamp for exploring some of Utah's most beautiful backcountry terrain while still maintaining access to basic campground facilities.
