These cabins are so nice and detail oriented. There is a foot heater in the bathroom so your toes are warm while getting ready. There is also a hair dryer, makeup removers and nice hand soap. They have access to laundry which is offered for free. I didn't need it but for an extended stay it would be nice to have. The bed wasn't the most comfortable for me. It didn't have much back support but my husband can sleep on anything so he was fine. There fridge had no freezer so I could not refreeze my ice packs for my cooler. Not a huge deal but something to keep in mind as you are planning. But they do have an ice machine. I didn't look closely to see that the kitchenette did not have a hot plate or stove top of any kind. It had a microwave that could be an airfryer or convection oven. I did not have much luck cooking with the airfry or convect options, which could have been user error, so I just used the microwave. I had a small hiccup and was not able to check out right at 10 AM. Though they were anxious for me to go so they could clean, they also handled it with patience despite not knowing there was an issue. I was very grateful for that. Overall I had an excellent experience. We do a lot of outdoor adventuring in that area and will for sure be staying again. Overall it is a lovely place to stay! I love playing in the dirt but like to feel pampered as well. It was a good mix. Thank you Muddy Creek Mining Company! Until next time.

The best part of the cabin in my opinion, is the actual cabin itself. The wood with the real imperfections; the smell of the wood beckons you to relax and to take time out. Location is also great. You are close to so much recreation. On site washer and dryers were also very convenient and a great setup. Free! Very friendly staff and helpful. We take our own pillows when we travel, but this cabin..... The best part of the cabin in my opinion, is the actual cabin itself. We take our own pillows when we travel, but this cabin..... the pillows are so fresh and so fluffy, and had soft linen covers, we used them as well. When you are away from home, the most important thing is peace of mind and that is what this cabin gave us. I knew we were gonna enjoy our time there, and we did.

The grounds/rooms were very clean which was nice. The location is in the center of town and easy to get into and out of. Check-in was easy and it was easy to get in touch with the folks running the cabins. We had one issue, which was that our water heater wasn't functioning correctly. We'd get ~3 minutes of hot water, and then need to wait another 45 minutes for an additional 3 minutes of hot wate... The grounds/rooms were very clean which was nice. We had one issue, which was that our water heater wasn't functioning correctly. We'd get ~3 minutes of hot water, and then need to wait another 45 minutes for an additional 3 minutes of hot water. Not ideal when you have 4 people needing showers after a long day hiking. When I contacted the property manager about it, they were polite and allowed us to use the shower in an unoccupied/unfinished unit. It's better than nothing, but having to walk from your cabin to another to shower, and back, in 30 degree weather wasn't fun. While that was a nice gesture, and I know they were booked to capacity so they couldn't move us to another unit, they didn't make any attempts to fix the water heater or give us a discount, or do anything otherwise to make up for the trouble. My wife and daughter both weren't comfortable showering in a separate unit, so they just had to tough it out and take the 3 minute showers. The kitchenette area was nice, but doesn't have a hot plate/stove. The microwave doubles as a convection oven/air fryer. So there is an 'oven', just know that it's microwave sized, it's not a normal sized oven and won't fit a normal sized baking sheet. Overall the stay was fine, I'd probably stay here again but in a different cabin for sure.

Very thankful Hanksville has a wonderful lodging option. The cabins are in great condition. It is very nice to take a shower after being out in the outdoors all day. Will definitely be staying here again in the future!
