About Paria River Ranch

Campground in Utah.

Nestled in the heart of southern Utah, Paria River Ranch offers RV travelers an authentic gateway to one of America's most spectacular natural regions. This well-positioned park serves as an ideal base camp for exploring the stunning landscapes that define this corner of the American Southwest, where towering red rock formations, dramatic canyons, and vast desert vistas create an unforgettable backdrop for your camping adventure.

The surrounding area is a playground for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. You'll find yourself within reasonable driving distance of some of Utah's most iconic destinations. The nearby Colorado River offers opportunities for boating and fishing, while the surrounding public lands provide countless trails for hiking, mountain biking, and exploration. Whether you're interested in discovering hidden slot canyons, photographing the otherworldly rock formations, or simply soaking in the serene desert landscape, the region delivers experiences that rival any destination in the West.

What makes staying at Paria River Ranch particularly special is the combination of comfortable RV accommodations and proximity to genuine wilderness. Unlike many developed campgrounds in heavily trafficked areas, this park allows you to experience the raw beauty of Utah's red rock country while maintaining access to essential services and amenities. The park's location makes it accessible for both day trips to major attractions and as a comfortable home base for extended exploration of the region.

The area appeals to a diverse range of travelers. Adventure seekers will appreciate the hiking and outdoor recreation opportunities that surround the park. Photography enthusiasts find the dramatic lighting and colorful geology endlessly inspiring, particularly during sunrise and sunset hours. Families enjoy the mix of accessible outdoor activities and the chance to experience the West in a relatively contained area. Those seeking solitude and natural beauty will find the desert's peaceful rhythms restorative and rejuvenating.

The region's four-season climate means you can visit year-round, though spring and fall typically offer the most comfortable temperatures. Summer brings dramatic thunderstorms that illuminate the landscape, while winter offers crisp days and stunning star-filled nights. Each season reveals different aspects of this remarkable landscape's character.

It can be difficult to find a place in Utah, outside of Salt Lake, where LGBTQI people are welcomed and respected and are safe. The hosts were genuinely kind to my wife and I. We did not feel scared to use the bathrooms, and they were sparkling clean. We were referred to by our correct pronouns, and were respected in our ways of eating, and our spiritual beliefs. They truly care for their animals, and give them a good life. The owners work very hard, and it shows. The sanctuary is small, comparatively, but well stocked and maintained. I have unique health issues, and instead of leaving me behind during the meet and greet with the animals, the host accommodated me so that I could participate too. The well water was absolutely delicious. I wish we had filled the tank on our rig with it before we left, and they have actual 30 and 50 amp plugs installed, on all of their easily accessible sites. I can't say enough good things. The scenery, the people, the animals, all incredible.

The location is terrific. Not much landscaping but very friendly host and it seems to attract good clientele. Nice shower and bathroom facility as well as water that are available to all campers whether they have full hookup or not.

Lovely place to stay. There are a couple of trails out from the ranch and you can haul to other trail heads. We stayed in the bunkhouse and it was quite comfortable. The bunks are kind of high and to have to climb into them.

Great little spot in between Kanab and Page AZ. Stephanie was so great in helping answer all our questions, accommodating us, and recommending different things! Her rescue animals are the sweetest ever! Definitely ask about touring the ranch to see them and donations go towards helping the animals along with the purchase of merch! Ashley toured us around and was so kind and knowledgeable. Stephani... Great little spot in between Kanab and Page AZ. Stephanie recommended Staircase Stables a few minutes down the road for trail rides through the canyon! Amazing time here and would definitely stay again.
