Moab is popular during peak season. Reserve 2-4 weeks in advance for weekends and holidays.
Most parks have check-in after 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Call ahead if you'll arrive late.

I had a nice stay in the tent camping area. It's a nice area away from the packed in RV area. It was centrally located and I was able to walk to the restaurants and downtown from the campsite. Lots of trees provided shade, it felt remote even though it was right in town, I was surprised that there is a place like this right in town. The pool was a nice feature, and the water was a great refreshing temperature, much warmer than I had expected. I do have a few complaints that I think campers should be aware of. The advertised price is $30 a night, which is a nice price for the location, but what you don't find out until you go to reserve your spot is that there is a $35 flat "site lock" fee, not sure what that was for, and also an additional $30 per night resorts fee. That brought my nightly fee to $63/night. Still cheaper than a hotel. But, there isn't a bathroom or showers in the tent area, so you have to walk through the RV area to get to one. There are porta-potties to use, they were clean, but the hand sanitizer was always empty. I was told there would be wifi available in the tent sites, but I couldn't connect, and there isn't any electricity in the area to plug in devices, no big deal as I was camping. There is also a hotel next door that has flood lights on all night, so it feels like dawn all night long. But I feel at the price they are charging, there should be a bathroom and showers in the tent camping area.

The Sun Outdoors Downtown Moab was perfect for my wife’s and my travel. We were able to walk to all of our guides, as well as enjoying restaurants and brewery is downtown. The campsite was busy, but never loud, and we could enjoy lounging around our camper van. I will say the automatic car wash nearby needs to be tuned out or turned down; I now know exactly when to place my car in park. Otherwise,... 1.I am here when the leaves are falling. They hire a company to collect them using a high-powered blower. The day after I washed my trailer and vehicle, I witnessed a person blowing leaves, dirt, and dust through my site. Needless to say, my RV and car were entirely covered in dirt/dust, and the cement pad was also full of dirt. Needless to say, my RV and car were entirely covered in dirt/dust, and the cement pad was also full of dirt. I also have items I haul inside my RV, which had dirt blown into it, and the picnic table we had just wiped down was again full of dust. I brought this to the attention of the manager, who seemed uninterested. Even if they offered to come and blow the dirt off my things and the cement pad, I would have been okay. I don't get their attitude. The manager never said “sorry” or offered to help clean things. 2. It happened again, so this is the second time I have had to go wash my vehicle because of your leaf collection process. And the dust I saw him blow on my neighbour's rv was awful.

Positive is the location because of the walking distance to the dinner options. On the flip side is the elevated price. However, I would return since BLM campgrounds are nice but after a few days in the backcountry walking distance to dinner options are nice.
