Our family enjoyed a brief stay at Rivers Edge in October and will absolutely be back. We are a family of tent campers so enjoyed their well-maintained primitive tent camp sites. The staff was lovely and very friendly - many of the other campers seemed to be regulars so we especially appreciated that same friendliness for the newbies. The bathrooms were lovely! (How many camp sites can say that?) Our dog enjoyed the off-leash area, the kids loved the jump pillow, and we all loved the views and the river. Little details - like motion-sensors on site signs - were appreciated! We can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the swimming hole and the fishing opportunities.

We begin our camping season with River's Edge and end our camping season at River's Edge. We have no plans to change that!!!

My friend and I stayed in one of the glamping sites last week, and it was the perfect setup. The tent was spacious and clean. The campground is very quiet and the owners were friendly. My favorite part was the swimming hole and being so close to West Virginia. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I enjoyed my stay at River’s edge campground. It was just 2 of us and we did the primitive tenting. It was a beautiful site close to the river. It felt more like glamping which was fine with me! Enjoyed the sound of nature! The swimming hole was beautiful! Crystal clear waters! I even jumped on the jump pad. Definitely planning another trip in the spring!

Great getaway from everyday noises. A well maintained property, the bath house is kept clean. Our Host, Brad is wonderful, friendly, and resourceful. About 10 camp sites and a few cabins, small but perfect. Wifi ✅. We will be returning.

It means you are going to have a great, relaxing time with spectacular views of the river when you stay here. The campground is very nicely landscaped and cared for with excellent spacing between level sites. River access on the property. Every site has FHU with a picnic table and fire ring. The bathhouse is kept clean and updated. They have kayaks and canoes to rent with a free shuttle 5 miles up the river included in the rental. If you bring your own kayaks they will haul them up to the same spot for $15. There are tent camping spots as well as bunkhouses for rent. The owners and host are super friendly. The campers I met are also friendly and considerate of the “drama free zone” ensuring everyone has a great time. Laughter, adult beverages, and making new friends is all acceptable, focusing on family-friendly behavior but accepting that it’s vacation time when you’re here. Many repeat customers noted during my time. Come play in the New River!

Camped (tent) here for 4 nights. It was a great location for accessing the New River Trail State Park where I spent biking the trails. As many have commented, both Brad and the owners went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed and offering to assist. Great campground. Had an excellent time at this campground and the surrounding areas. Highly recommend.
